There is less freedom in Ukraine - the country has dropped to 135th place in the world rankings
Over the year, Ukraine dropped from 128th to 135th place in the ranking of countries for economic freedom.

This is stated in the annual report “Economic Freedom of the World: 2016” by the Canadian research Institute Fraser and the Ukrainian Society for Economic Freedom.
Note that the report is based on statistics for each country for 2014 (the latest year available for data comparison). Hong Kong topped the ranking of countries in terms of economic freedom, followed by Singapore and New Zealand. The top 10 also includes Switzerland, Canada, Georgia, Ireland, Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates, Australia and the United Kingdom (the latter two countries occupy 10th place). For comparison, Poland ranks 40th, Russia – 102nd.
According to the report, indicators in Ukraine have fallen in the size of the state in the economy, the security of money, and freedom of international trade. At the same time, indicators of the state of the legal system and property rights, as well as regulation of banking, business and the labor market, increased.
The worst situation in Ukraine is with regard to money security (153rd place) and freedom of international trade (131st place). At the same time, the country achieved relatively good results in terms of “state size” (70th place) and “business regulation” (71st place).
Freedom in Ukraine has diminished – the country has dropped to 135th place in the world rankings.
