The chairman of the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" faction, Lyubomyr Melnychuk, announced this at a session of the Lviv City Council, the publication "Varianty" reports.
According to Melnichuk, the presence of an official Russian representation in Lviv poses a direct threat to the safety of Lviv residents. Svoboda believes that this will be a logical decision after Russia was recognized as an aggressor country on January 27.
Last year, the SBU deported 2 ambassadors, and employees were repeatedly accused of sabotage activities, said Lyubomir Melnychuk. He was also outraged that the consulate is still guarded by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kharkov, pro-Ukrainian activists demanded the closure of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.
