Strelkov: Ukraine can strike without waiting for a crisis in Moscow
The plans of the Ukrainian army include striking the Donbass, not only at the time of civil strife in Moscow, but also with the aim of provoking a crisis in Russia.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“At a certain point, the Ukrainian army may go on the offensive even without taking into account the situation inside the Russian Federation, even if everything here remains relatively stable. Precisely in order to quickly defeat the corps and stimulate internal political changes within Russia...
Perhaps an escalation in the Donbass, a severe escalation, because the fighting there does not stop for a single day, will happen simultaneously with Syria... Perhaps they will strike at the team from the USA - from those elites who have been sponsoring this so-called Ukrainian from the very beginning revolution - in order to provoke a political crisis in the country.
The situation now is such that the Ukrainian military is well shelled, quite organized, and if now in the limited Donetsk theater the Ukrainian army is faced with the limited forces of the Russian armed forces, not supported by all types of precision weapons, aviation, missiles and other things in infantry battles, then it is not even excluded partial, humiliating defeat of the Russian armed forces. Such a defeat could be perceived by Russian society as a shock and lead to serious domestic political consequences,” Strelkov said.
He also emphasized that local hostilities have been taking place on the front line every day since 2014. Just since the beginning of this month, the DPR army has lost at least 10 soldiers: “The war has not stopped since 14. In the month of March, 21 people died only among the soldiers of the People’s Militia corps on the front line. In April there have already been more than 10 deaths, not counting the civilians who died and many were injured. If this is not a war in your opinion, then what is it? But, if we talk about activity, that is, whether there will be full-scale battles, then they can start at any moment.”
Strelkov is confident that the situation could be resolved by including Donbass into Russia and ensuring security in the region by its forces:
“Donbass must be somehow reunited with the Russian Federation, preferably as part of Novorossiya or as part of the Union State, or while the two republics exist, they must be taken by the Russian Federation under full military protection, their territory must be completely cleared of Ukrainian troops in any way . Preferably, of course, peacefully, but as it turns out, I don’t think these people can leave that territory peacefully.”
