In Yekaterinburg, on Borodin Street, a half-naked man opened fire from the fourth floor. Shot from a Saiga carbine. Two were injured. Now they write different things. For example, that the killer allegedly sent messages to his acquaintances: they say that he is tired of life and wants to shoot everyone. That he was either a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, or a former special forces soldier. One way or another, involved in the security forces. And it seems that at the time of the shooting he was drunk and shouted: “I demand the abolition of homosexuality!”
Many will now rush to explain the incident as so-called professional deformation. There is a temptation - and there is a point in it. But I see the problem is much deeper.
On the one hand, there is a problem with gun control in Russia. There is more and more of it, and people are using it more and more recklessly. On the other hand, psychiatry is functioning worse and worse. She was taken somewhere far away, beyond the brackets. They are used almost as a last resort. As a result, outright psychos roam the streets, and deal with them only when they commit another abomination. But we need to prevent it.
And here we come to the main thing. I talked about this the other day with a very respected psychiatrist in the country. We, a doctor and a writer, talked about the fact that aggression is growing in the world and in the country. It literally accumulates and seeks a way out. And this is not a literary image, but actual reality. A person does not have time to adapt to the pace of life that is imposed on him - and simply goes crazy. The body defends itself with aggression. And at the same time, it is endlessly produced by the matrix in which we exist. The result is various forms of mental disorders and inadequate outbursts of negativity. Like with this man.
The trouble is that he is not alone. And if we do not learn to find, let me put it this way, the channels through which the draining of aggression will take place—a kind of grounding—then the situation will become even sadder and more dangerous.
And as for the question: “Why did the scoundrel shoot at others?” It's simple. The society of postmodernism and consumerism, in an endless attempt to impose consumption, falsely instills in a person a false sense of his own greatness. Like, you decide, you choose. In fact, this consumer is like a calf that is being dragged to slaughter, but he considers himself the arbiter of destinies. That’s when he decides not his own life, but someone else’s life.
Here I will inform you that the Ekaterinburg scoundrel wounded a girl in the stomach with a carbine. A girl. Small. Wounded in the stomach. How much will they give him for this, huh? Again according to the law? 6-7 years old? Or is it still time to punish fairly, since we cannot prevent evil?
