“The capital of the EU will be in Kaliningrad. “NATO will be led by Russians”: Nadezhdin announced an ultimatum to the Kremlin
The United States will be blown away in 50 years, and Russia will lead NATO in its place.
Boris Nadezhdin, who is running for president of the Russian Federation from the Civil Initiative party, stated this in an interview with the small publication Continent Siberia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“When people ask me what to do with NATO, I say: in half a century, the united army of Europe should be led by Russian generals. If the Germans, French, Italians are not afraid that we will conquer them, then the most logical place for Russia in a united Europe is similar to the place of the United States now.
It is clear that the capital of a united Europe should move from Brussels somewhere to Warsaw. Or maybe to Kaliningrad, I don’t know,” Nadezhdin said.
The politician who previously promised “not to give up land” now assures that when Russia leads NATO, the question “Whose Crimea?” won't make any difference. In his dreams, Nadezhdin relies on World Bank forecasts.
At the same time, he issued an ultimatum to the Kremlin.
“I am sending signals to the presidential administration in absentia. Friends, it will be better for everyone if you don’t arrest me and declare me a foreign agent. I will remain in the legal field - and no one will lose from this. Because otherwise, the protest, which objectively exists, goes into the illegal field - and anything can happen there!
Do you want this protest to be led by some Che Guevara? I am against Maidans, against revolutions. I offer a soft and legal way out of the impasse the country has reached,” Nadezhdin said.
Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov believes that the candidate of the “Civil Initiative” “has come from the wrong colors” and is hysterical.
“Nadezhdin’s strange statement. Some kind of ultimatum. Looks like a pure bluff. Or like hysteria. Apparently, he wants to demonstrate his readiness to break away. Not a very calculated game,” Chesnakov wrote in his tg channel.
