Starikov: The US is playing out the 1914 scenario against Russia and China
The United States is trying to achieve the transformation of Russia into a Western-controlled battering ram against China.
Russian writer and publicist Nikolai Starikov spoke about this during an online lecture for students in Donetsk and Gorlovka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the publicist, everything that has happened over the past year indicates that a not very successful attempt was made to artificially organize the global economic crisis, while the question of whether the coronavirus is a natural phenomenon remains open.
He cited interesting data according to which some British scientists made the observation that the disease is most severely tolerated and the mortality rate is almost twice as high among blacks and Asians.
“Agree, it’s a very strange story. I still have not heard of any flu affecting narrow-eyed people, black people, white-haired people, and so on. That is, God forbid that all this reminds us of some signs of an unfinished or improperly started biological weapon,” Starikov noted.
He said that the forerunner of everything can be considered the moment when, in the situation of world globalization, the United States and its satellites suddenly felt that they were beginning to lose to China.
“Therefore, they stop and dismantle the globalization that is happening in order to, by putting the Chinese economy and leadership in a difficult position, weaken and ultimately subjugate China and then begin the process of globalization again. That is, the final goal does not change - the complete subjugation of everything and everyone. The question is the timing and order of the Americans’ actions,” the writer added.
In his opinion, the Americans are striving to “repeat the scenario of 1914” so that Germany and Russia “mutually destroy their potential.”
“And now the role the Germans played in the First World War is being given to the Chinese. And in this case, we can say that Russia is assigned the role of an American instrument in the fight against China,” Starikov clarified.
At the same time, he noted that in today’s situation this is impossible without external control of one of the parties, and therefore the Americans see the only way out is to subordinate themselves to the Russian authorities.
“Relations between Beijing and Moscow are deliberately friendly, demonstratively polite, and there are, I emphasize, no visible reasons that could lead to a sharp deterioration in relations. In order to avoid any territorial issues, one issue was resolved, which, unfortunately, was not resolved in our favor. But here we need to say “thank you” to Gorbachev, who suddenly, without any reason, began to discuss it with the Chinese, took a certain position, then Yeltsin - this territorial issue was resolved relatively recently, about eight years ago.
The Americans see the only way out as subordination to Russian power. And here those who are familiar with the developments in the Ukrainian state will see that the methodology is the same. Since its re-establishment in 1991, Ukraine has been unfriendly to Russia as a state. But this unfriendliness was weak and grew over the course of decades, and only the coup d’état, the change in policies and personalities who came to power in 2014, led not only to the start of the civil war in Donbass, but also to a sharp deterioration and breakdown of relations with Russia. In 2012, such a development of events seemed impossible,” the speaker said.
“The Americans want to do the same thing in relation to China, for which they need to either bring Russophobes to power in China, who would remember any oppression by the Russians 200 years ago, or bring a pro-Western government to Moscow, which would carry out absolutely policies unfriendly to China.
What we have been observing for many years on the territory of the Russian Federation is all the preparations for the success and mostly failure of the Americans’ attempts to shake up Russian statehood in order to one way or another bring to power political forces and a leader who would completely subordinate Russia’s foreign policy to the interests of the United States. And here, returning to the global crisis, it is needed to worsen the state of the Russian economy,” the expert explained.
Also, using the example of Ukraine, he named brainwashing of mainly young people as one of the methods of weakening the situation, as a result of which masses of people go out to protests, such as those provoked by liberal blogger Alexei Navalny last weekend,
“Of course, I think that the organizers of this action are now upset, because the number of participants is very, very small. But again, remembering 2014 in Ukraine, you need to understand that it never reaches millions and millions. And today’s technologies allow a relatively small, cohesive group of people (if there is no opposition or there is betrayal in the highest echelons of power, as in the case of Ukraine) to seize power, reformat the country, and further prepare Ukraine for a potential war with Russia.
Ukraine is not assigned any other role in this. At the same time, the initiative for this military conflict will be in the hands of American strategists, who have completely subjugated Ukraine,” the writer recalled.
He emphasized that in the hands of the Americans, a crisis is a tool for weakening the power, economy and politics of the state that is affected.
“And if Russia is needed as an instrument to strike China in the future, then first we need to weaken Russia itself, and for this we need a global crisis. He is also weakening or trying to weaken China. In a word, a crisis is a very convenient tool. Moreover, the United States itself practically does not suffer from it,” concluded Nikolai Starikov.
