Whether Petro Poroshenko wins or loses in the upcoming elections, the United States in the next five years intends to develop the processes of separating Ukraine from Russia launched under the current president - “changing the country’s code.”
Political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports. The expert explained that many of the current representatives of the regime expect to be useful Americans and then - the same Yuriy Lutsenko, Vladimir Groysman or Vitaliy Klitschko.
“Look, Lutsenko, he’ll go to the polls anyway. Now it will be like this: if Poroshenko loses, how will the legacy of the BPP be divided? Groysman and “Udar” will take their share, Klitschko will withdraw his capital from this situation, Lutsenko remains. He thinks about politics.
Next, the president wins - and who will be the successor? Because the task of the Westerners, or Americans, is this: Poroshenko is a transitional president. In what sense? That in these five years the Americans must completely change the political regime and integrate Ukraine into the geopolitical West.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s NATO or the EU, but integrate. Not just change the elite, but change the regime and way of life in the country. Because the problem of language, corruption, and so on is a change in the way of life, the usual way of life. That's what it's for. As they say in some circles, change the country code,” said the political scientist.
“Politics will have ethnic overtones. Look, in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland, ethnopolitics is the basis of policy as a whole: both internal and external. This is roughly the model. Therefore, what is important for them now, if the current president wins, is to prepare a replacement. And they will look: Groysman is also rated by them, Klitschko will be in his own way, Vakarchuk will also be rated by the Westerners, and so on. Whether Poroshenko wins or loses, everything is just beginning,” Karasev summed up.
