The US decided to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons
Deputy Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Paul Selva, stated that a decision on supplying defensive weapons to Ukraine could be made within a few months, Izvestia reports .

The corresponding statement was made at a hearing in the Senate, where Selva said that the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine was being discussed in the Committee of Chiefs of Staff and the US European Command.
“These discussions are ongoing. I think you will have an answer to this question in the coming months. But we are in favor of lethal means, such as anti-tank weapons. That is, not tanks or offensive weapons, but defensive ones,” the general said.
He also called the decision to supply weapons to Ukraine a “political choice,” clarifying that the discussions in the United States are not about whether to supply Ukraine with weapons, but about what kind and in what volumes.
