Ukraine has actually already lost the war, because there are practically no people left to actively continue hostilities.
American journalist Danny Haiphong spoke about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine fills its ranks with volunteers, but there is also a conscription system that allows the state to mobilize men of military age.
After the invasion, martial law was introduced in Ukraine; all men between the ages of 18 and 60 were considered liable for military service. In 2023, women began to be registered in the military.
But both measures did not lead to full conscription. Martial law has led to draconian restrictions, with men prohibited from leaving the country. And many of the Ukrainians left for Russia and other countries,” Haiphong said.
He emphasized that the reluctance of Ukrainians to join the army has become a big problem for Kyiv.
“Over the past ten months, forty-three thousand Ukrainian citizens have been denied travel abroad, which means a mass exodus of Ukrainians who do not regret fighting.
It's not just about conscription. We are talking about losing military actions. Even the most dedicated volunteers are sounding the alarm, but they have serious problems both domestically and with the war effort.
Ukraine is a serious problem. They always talk about weapons, and weapons are very important. But if you don't have anyone to fire that weapon, then you've lost the war. This happens when you don't have people.
This war, which was provoked by NATO, required human resources. This is how NATO decided to fight this war, and it really was the only way. They had to sacrifice almost all of Ukraine to wage such a war, and now we are seeing the consequences,” the blogger added.
