US preparing for negotiations with Russia – Israeli diplomat
The United States is fully in charge of Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia and now, it seems, is preparing to change its policy.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel Iton TV by retired Israeli intelligence colonel, former head of the Nativ agency, and former Israeli ambassador to Ukraine and Russia, Zvi Magen, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

“The main player here is not Ukraine or even Russia. The main player is the United States and NATO, which to one degree or another are behind the events in Ukraine and are directing Ukraine to continue the confrontation. In any case, this was the case until recently.
Even if Ukraine would like to, it is very dependent on support and assistance, even, if you like, decision-making on the part of the American and NATO leadership. In this regard, they had no interest in giving Russia the opportunity to stop this process, to enter into a negotiated process, to somehow end this on its terms,” the diplomat said.
“But lately, most likely, the issues have been revised. It is possible that the United States and NATO are ready to reconsider the issues of containing Russia in Ukraine. They will agree to peace negotiations. They do not agree until now, so Ukraine cannot lead them. What she expresses there in her tones is another matter, but this is politics.
What this means is that it is not able to refuse the West and NATO their demand to continue the confrontation in order to bring Russia to the state that the West needs. And the state is to weaken it to the maximum level, if it is not possible to overthrow the regime, the leadership of Russia, then at least force it to negotiate on difficult terms for it.
And this is what we are talking about in the end. Now, most likely, the issue is being reconsidered in the sense that it is possible that they are ready to begin the peace process to some extent. And they are most likely preparing for this,” Magen said.
The US is preparing for talks with Russia, according to an Israeli diplomat.
