Kharkiv, January 03 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – State Emergency Service officials say the preliminary cause of the large-scale fire in a Kharkiv cafe was an explosion of a gas heater.

“In the Dzerzhinsky district of Kharkov at 17:25 on January 2, a fire broke out in the premises of the New Khata cafe due to the ignition of gas from a gas heater, as a result of which 1 person was injured, who was hospitalized with mild burns,” - reported to the State Emergency Service.
Rescuers noted that the fire covered an area of about 200 square meters. m was liquidated at 18:40, food preparation and other auxiliary premises were saved from the fire.
In connection with the fire, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 270 (violation of fire safety requirements established by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As PolitNavigator reported, three people were injured as a result of the explosion and fire at the New Hata cafe, all women, the oldest of whom was 56 years old.
