Tyagnibok’s comrade-in-arms called for preparations for war with Russia
Russia will never accept the existence of an independent Ukraine and will make every effort to destroy it.
This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada deputy and member of the Svoboda party, Oksana Savchuk, who called Russia a “visible enemy,” according to a PolitNavigator correspondent to the magazine “ Ukrainian Week .”
“This enemy clearly demonstrates that he does not see Ukraine as an independent state. He sees us as those who were once part of the Russian Empire, and wants to return this. We also understand that the enemy country has approximately 800 thousand troops. We are approximately 200 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, in order for us to have a decent defense, we must fight not only with the forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but also according to the so-called Swiss or Israeli model, when the entire nation at a certain moment is ready to join the defense,” Savchuk said.
According to her, preparing the nation for war must begin at school, and everyone who wants to fight must undergo appropriate training.
“Tomorrow we will not be accepted into NATO, because we have not been accepted for the last seven years. What remains for us is the defense, which should be financed from the state budget not on a residual basis,” the deputy believes.
“On average, if we have a population of 38 million, then, in addition to the 200 thousand army, we can have up to a million more. That is, a million people who can defend their homes. Russia does not want to just take Crimea and leave it at that. Russia will never stop and will try to do everything possible so that we do not exist as an independent country,” Savchuk concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Mariupol occupation authorities are demanding that Kyiv pay for territorial defense units.
