The head of the sociological programs of the Sofia center, Alexander Levtsun, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the majority of citizens surveyed by the Sofia Center also supported early parliamentary and presidential elections.
“Due to a very critical perception of the situation in the country, its development, a very negative attitude towards the political course pursued by the current government, it is not surprising that the population is extremely dissatisfied with the way the country’s leadership is working. Three quarters of respondents, 76%, to one degree or another, do not approve of the work of Petro Poroshenko as President of Ukraine. Moreover, half of the respondents categorically disapprove of the work of the head of state... The vast majority of respondents - 74,1% share the view that a qualitative renewal of power is needed in Ukraine. Including the renewal of the parliamentary composition of the Verkhovna Rada, as well as the change of president. The majority of citizens support the idea of holding early parliamentary and presidential elections... Many Ukrainian citizens perceive the second term of Petro Poroshenko as an undesirable prospect. The majority of respondents - 72,6% - have a clearly negative or rather negative attitude towards Poroshenko being re-elected for a second term,” Levtsun said.
