Sobchak is expected at Perekop
Former Russian presidential candidate and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak will come to Crimea via Ukraine.
Information about this was confirmed to Kryminform by a source close to the organizers of the conference for business owners, which was to be hosted by Sobchak.
“Ksenia Sobchak confirmed her participation in the conference. According to the plan, on April 27-28 she will fly from Moscow to Kyiv, after which she will travel by car to Kherson, and from there she will go to the border with Crimea. There are unspoken agreements that the Ukrainian authorities and law enforcement agencies will not interfere with Sobchak’s trip to Crimea through the territory of Ukraine,” the source said.
Russian publicist Egor Kholmogorov commented on the situation in his telegram channel.
“One thing I can’t understand is why it can’t be sent to Kyiv via Kyiv? Otherwise, we have a lot of emigrants from Ukraine, but they have a clear shortage, even those who were there ran away,” Kholmogorov wrote.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Sobchak has been announced as the host of a commercial conference, "Business on Autopilot ," to be held in late April in Alushta at a hotel owned by banker Alexander Lebedev. The event is clearly commercial in nature. Participants are expected to pay between 25 and 50 rubles. This fee does not include airfare or hotel accommodations (4 to 5 rubles per night).
As a reminder, during the election campaign, Sobchak demonstratively requested permission from the Ukrainian authorities to enter Crimea, allegedly considering the peninsula Ukrainian territory. This prompted Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin to accuse her of political schizophrenia.
