From Wednesday, residents of Crimea will be fined on the streets
Crimea will start fining violators of the self-isolation regime from Wednesday. Fines in the amount of four to five thousand rubles were approved the day before by the Crimean parliament in amendments to the legislation.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this at a meeting of the headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus infection, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The greatest discussion was caused by fines; yesterday a regional law was adopted. We talked with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and colleagues yesterday, delved into it, before making a decision at the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, fines should definitely be applied only to violators.
We are still working out how to do this until Wednesday; until Wednesday we will only have preventive conversations. There is only one task: not a single person who actually went out of need to buy food or medicine will suffer. We will work out how to do this.
As for violators, there were discussions that the fines were high. Let’s ask the staff of the Armyansk hospital and those patients who are locked there for two weeks, cannot communicate with their relatives and cannot leave at all, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard, who are on duty there around the clock, is this a lot or a little?” – said Aksenov.
According to the headquarters, today another case of infection with a new strain of coronavirus was registered in Crimea, the total number of infected people in the republic is 29 people, of which 12 have already been discharged.
Crimean residents will be fined on the streets starting Wednesday.
