The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine denied Donbass the right to exist
In Ukraine, the concept of “Donbass”, which is supposedly imposed by Russia, should be avoided.
This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, speaking at the forum "Electoral Reform: An Assessment Through the Prism of Values, Political Rights, and the Quality of Procedures," reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The word “Donbass” is not in any regulatory legal document of our state. This is a definition that is imposed on us by the Russian Federation - “the people of Donbass”, “the choice of Donbass”, “Donbass will not be brought to its knees”. We need to strictly adhere to our legal documents... There are clear names of the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, there is no Donbass, it is very dangerous when we start saying such things,” Danilov believes.
According to him, the use of the word “Donbass” allegedly “creates new preconditions for the enemy to start talking about the collapse of Ukraine.”
As PolitNavigator reported, Danilov previously asserted that Crimea and Donbass would be getting rid of Russian passports.
