"Servants of the People" fly in big cities
Mayors of large cities in Ukraine have already begun preparations for local elections and are seeking to demonstrate their effectiveness against the backdrop of ineffective measures to combat the epidemic that the central government of Ukraine is taking.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrei Zolotarev, stated this in an interview with the Capital portal, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The mayors of cities with a population of over a million feel quite confident, like Filatov and Kernes. Mayors are trying to position themselves: against the backdrop of ineffective Kyiv, there is an effective mayor who is doing something. Look how Klitschko stepped up. They are already conducting their election campaign. It is clear that there is no longer any chance for the “greens” here. They had to prepare for local elections already in August last year. But they didn’t do this; they rested on their laurels. Now we obviously have to reap the benefits,” Zolotarev said.
