Slutsky: The UN is under the dictates of the US State Department
Russia will not be able to raise issues related to Ukraine at the upcoming UN Security Council, which it chairs, due to the negative impact on the US State Department organization.
LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky announced this to journalists in the Russian State Duma today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs does not yet have an American visa. It should be noted that the United States is behaving in a completely unacceptable manner in the coordinate system of those documents that were once signed to locate the UN headquarters on its territory in New York.
As a member of the Russian delegation, I have not received an American visa for the second year in a row. All this makes us think that the UN is under serious influence of the US State Department. We see that the introduction of military contingents into a number of countries was contrary to UN resolutions.
All this makes us think that today it is necessary to consolidate the efforts of all countries to ensure that the UN remains the pinnacle of the world multipolar architecture, as it was positioned following the Second World War, adjusted for today’s realities,” Slutsky said.
