The investigator opened a case against Platoshkin on serious charges
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against the previously detained Russian oppositionist Nikolai Platoshkin.
This was reported on the Investigative Committee website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Nikolai Platoshkin on the grounds of crimes under Part 1.1 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inducing or otherwise involving a person in committing mass riots), as well as Art. 207.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and safety of citizens).
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing the circumstances of the crimes committed,” the statement says.
