“Zelensky’s visit to Britain was marked by a meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prince William. The goal is to sign an agreement on political cooperation, free trade and strategic partnership. In fact, they talked with Johnson about Britain’s access to the Ukrainian land market, about Ukraine’s following in the wake of Britain’s foreign policy interests and the allocation of 1,2 billion pounds sterling for the Ukrainian Navy. With William - about the creation of psychological rehabilitation centers for “ATO veterans,” the politician notes.

She draws attention to the fact that the conditions for allocating money to the Ukrainian Naval Forces are unknown - related loans or assistance with the allocation of decommissioned fleet units, especially since so far only a memorandum - an agreement of intent - has been signed.

“The implementation of the memorandum is interesting for Britain, but complicated by political instability in Ukraine. If Ukraine loses gas transit as a result of the launch of SP-2, it will lose up to 10% of GDP. The political fate of this state could jeopardize Britain’s plans to fight Russia with Ukraine in the Black and Azov Seas. This is where the agreements with Prince William may be more useful - in this case there will be quite a lot of people in need of psychological rehabilitation in the Ukrainian Navy,” summarizes Panina.
