The situation in the Kherson region is extremely difficult - Russia has pulled a large number of troops and equipment to the front line.
Former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladislav Seleznev, stated this on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Seleznev, Russia is only trying to demonstrate weakness in the Kherson direction.
“The situation is not simple, despite the fact that in the last few weeks the Russian occupation army has been conducting a very powerful information operation, it is aimed at the fact that they are trying to demonstrate their alleged weakness on the southern flank of the Russian-Ukrainian front. I mean the right bank of the Dnieper, the Kherson region,” said the ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“But in fact, the situation there is extremely complicated, the Russians have deployed a large amount of forces and resources there, so there will be heavy fighting there, this is objective,” Seleznev said.
