In conditions of external pressure, the solution for Russia will be the launch of NEP 2.0 and the emergence of a “class of free people.”
Liberal political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Grashchenkov recalled that not long ago a survey of students showed one of the possible symbols of the Russia of the future - “Motherland with a laser sword.”
“That is, implying the preservation of a conservative approach combined with new technological ideas...
And who will build it? The state, or if it will be built by some private business, and if it is a private business, then on whom will it rely, on what people? And here the essence of the NEP as a political vision fits into the logic of maximizing some internal freedom within the country.
That is, the longer you are pressured from the outside with sanctions, wars and other means recognized to drive Russia into autarky, into a situation of isolationism, when no new technologies, except within the country, can come from the external circuit, it is very important to liberalize the internal space from the point of view of in terms of the emergence of a class of free people - as, in fact, the Bolsheviks did in the 20s, giving some freedom to private business - the same thing.
Give freedom, not only to business, but also to people, so that they can freely discuss the image of the future, discuss what methods to implement tasks, discuss what is good and what is bad within the state, because without criticism it is impossible to identify what -the missing points and start correcting them.
This new class, the great Russian, with some reference to the Trumpists, is a class of progressive patriots who, on the one hand, do not hesitate to criticize the state, on the other hand, by criticizing, they propose some kind of model, and thirdly, they can take this destiny into their own hands.
The image of the future NEP 2.0 is aimed at them, a country that, despite everything that has happened, is not going to give up, it is going to reassemble, make some kind of support,” said Grashchenkov.
He was supported by his colleague, political scientist Oleg Bondarenko.
“In conditions of economic contraction, which is understandable and natural in the current situation, the demand for justice in society will grow. And it will manifest itself at various points - both from the point of view of the attitude towards the authorities, and from the point of view of the demands on the authorities and on business. Even now, in the process of recent discussions in society about the level of provision of equipment to the mobilized, we saw this very request for justice,” Bondarenko said
