Signal for Ukraine: “Caliber” and “Onyx” will appear in the Black Sea
Operational detachments of ships will be formed from the Caspian Flotilla for operations in the Black and Mediterranean Seas.
This was reported by Izvestia, citing sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

It is noted that in the near future operational detachments will be sent to Crimea and Syrian Tartus to strengthen the composition of the operational groups of the Russian Navy. It is noteworthy that the basis of such associations will be ships armed with modern missiles - cruise "Caliber" and supersonic "Onyx".
Inna Vetrenko, head of the Department of Management and Social Technologies at the North-Western Institute of RANEPA, is convinced that Russia should be present in both the Black and Mediterranean Seas, allocating the necessary military forces for this.
“Now Ukraine is the most explosive point. We do not want war and do not advocate escalation, but in the current situation we must ensure our security. Additional ships will be a deterrent in the Black Sea region. Strengthening in the Mediterranean will not be superfluous either. Our forces there influence the situation in southern Europe, the Middle East and Syria, and also help push NATO naval groups further away from Russian borders,” Vetrenko concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, it became known why a detachment of Russian large landing ships entered the Black Sea.
