Shurygin: The liberation of Artemovsk will cut the Ukrainian defense in Donbass
If Artemovsk (Bahumut), occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for which fierce battles are currently taking place, is liberated, then the formations of the Kyiv regime will have to leave Avdeevka as well
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The liberation of Artemovsk will make it possible to cut the Ukrainian defense in Donbass,” Shurygin told Izvestia.
He believes that the fate of the Ukrainian group in Avdiivka, which is the key point from which Donetsk is threatened, can be decided here.
“It will become very, very difficult for Ukrainian units to defend it. After establishing control over Avdiivka, our army will move close to the positions of Ukrainian artillerymen and MLRS striking Donetsk, they will have to pull back even further. As a result, the security zone in the DPR will expand, and things will become easier for Donetsk. But here it is important not to get ahead of ourselves; it is better to talk about the capture of Artemovsk after it happens,” the analyst warned.
