The military correspondent of the DPR Ministry of Defense Dmitry Astrakhan spoke about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the school from positions located on a neighboring waste heap. The fire came from BMP-2 and grenade launchers. The hits occurred in the teachers' room and the corridor where the classroom doors open. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also fired at Dokuchaev boarding school No. 27. The Ukrainian military fired at the dormitory building just at the moment when the children were sleeping,” the military correspondent said.
He also clarified that in addition to educational institutions, a residential building was damaged, where an apartment was almost completely burned down.
“Also, a residential building at 22 Melnikova Street came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A shell hit one of the apartments and caused the furniture to catch fire. As a result of the fire, the apartment was almost completely burned out,” added Astrakhan.
