In addition to social networks, Sevastopol residents turned to the authorities, since the launch of pyrotechnics in the hero city is prohibited due to the “yellow danger level.”

“On March 24, 2024, on the day of national mourning, the chat bot “Defense of Sevastopol” received a message from vigilant residents of Sevastopol that two men were in a residential building on the street. Zagordyansky, 19B fireworks are launched. Employees of the Department of Public Security, together with Sevastopol police officers, promptly went to the scene.

It turned out that the fireworks were set off by a resident of Sevastopol. Next to him at that moment was a city guest who arrived in Sevastopol from Moscow. They say that they allegedly did not know that the country was in mourning,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev wrote in his Telegram channel.

The detained Sevastopol resident admitted that he was wrong, but only in that he launched fireworks on the day of mourning. The 43-year-old man, apparently, also did not know that in Sevastopol for two years now, as in the whole of Crimea, a regime has been introduced to restrict the use of pyrotechnic products, the violation of which is punishable by a fine.

“I launched fireworks at Zagordyansky 19b on the day of mourning. I didn’t know about this that it was a day of mourning. I regret this. This will not happen again in the future. I apologize to everyone I offended or insulted, I don’t know. I really didn’t know about this,” the offender explained.

An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the man. He faces a fine of 1 to 30 thousand rubles.
