The Serbian minister almost died of laughter after hearing a Montenegrin guslar singing about NATO
Deputy Prime Minister of the Serbian government and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic expressed concern that the crisis in the country provoked by the Podgorica regime could lead to a fratricidal war between Serbs and Montenegrins.
Dacic told this to the Serbian radio station Studio B, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
In an interview with the radio station Ivica Dacic noted that there has never been a war between Serbs and Montenegrins in history, and he is very afraid of a fratricidal war, which the current crisis provoked by the leadership of Montenegro could lead to.
“It is a historical fact that we not only never fought with each other, but there were no conflicts between us, as evidenced by our entire history, literature and songs,” noted the head of the Serbian Foreign Ministry. – True, times change, yesterday I heard and almost died of laughter, a song about Montenegro and NATO. This is a recently composed guslar song, although previously the songs of guslars were associated exclusively with history, the heroic struggle against the Turks.”
Dacic said that Serbia cannot remain silent and look at the problems of the Serbian people in Montenegro, although no one in Belgrade is against Podgorica going its own way.

“The only thing that interests us in this matter is the situation of the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Serbian people are not a national minority there; they make up more than 28 percent of the population,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted. “Despite such a large percentage of Serbs from the total population of Montenegro, none of them hold public positions, they are not among ministers and ambassadors.”
Saying that Montenegro often reproaches Serbia for interfering in its internal affairs, Dacic said that “in the modern world, whether someone likes it or not, the problem of human rights and even the rights of peoples and religious communities is no longer an internal problem, but is a universal problem that interests everyone.”
