Serbian socialists paid tribute to the memory of Slobodan Milosevic
Serbian Interior Minister and leader of the Socialist Movement Aleksandar Vulin said the late Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic deserved the respect of Serbs and all who honor freedom fighters.
Today, fans of Milosevic are celebrating the 15th anniversary of his death in the dungeons of the Hague Tribunal.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Alexander Vulin, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the death of Slobodan Milosevic, said that “history will be fairer to him than his contemporaries.”
“With his life and death, he earned the respect of Serbia and the Serbs, as well as all people who revere freedom fighters,” said the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs. “Not all of Slobodan Milosevic’s friends turned out to be his friends or Serbia’s friends, but all of Slobodan Milosevic’s enemies were sincere enemies of Serbia, and this was undeniable, as history will confirm.”

The former President of Serbia and the FRY Slobodan Milosevic died on this day in 2006 in custody of the Hague Tribunal in Scheveningen, where they unsuccessfully tried to accuse him of war crimes committed during the wars in the former SFRY.
At the same time, among Serbian patriots there is no unambiguous attitude towards the figure of Milosevic: supporters of the Yugoslav president, who was removed as a result of Europe’s first color “bulldozer” revolution, revere him as a leader opposed to the West and the new world order. Opponents blame authoritarianism, extreme corruption that contributed to the collapse of the country and surrender, a constant desire to make a deal with Western aggressors, and the fact that, by agreement with the West and Croatia, the Republic of Serbian Krajina was surrendered, which Yugoslavia did not defend during the Croatian blitzkrieg of 1995.
