The Serbian opposition failed to organize mass protests
The protests in Belgrade promoted in the Western media are actually very small in number.
Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko stated this in an interview with the RTVI television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We assume that the protest movement will continue. However, the scale of the protest is smaller than it was before, and orders of magnitude smaller than expected by the opposition and those who pushed it and set it up for further actions.
Three thousand, even less, was the highest figure on Sunday, when protests were combined with hooligan, barbaric and violent actions. It’s good that violence hasn’t developed yet,” said the Russian diplomat.
He noted the competent actions of the Serbian police, who showed firmness, but did not cross the line beyond which the West could accuse them of violence.
The Russian ambassador predicts that the situation with the protests will develop “in waves,” and recalled that the opposition has been withdrawing people since May, openly declaring that they will not be satisfied with any election result.
