Village and people: Ukrainian deputies exposed themselves to ridicule by banning Russian cinema
Kyiv, February 10 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – A ban on broadcasting Russian films in Ukraine will lead to the fact that their audience will refuse to watch Ukrainian TV and “go” to the Internet. Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

According to him, the authorities, by adopting such laws in the digital age, are making themselves laughable.
“This kind of prohibition is based on the principle that all animals are equal, but those animals that rule over us are somehow more equal than us. They can decide what is right and wrong for us to watch. Such political bans in the era of the Internet and satellite dishes only lead to people starting to laugh at the authorities. But the authorities can lie once, twice, and then the TV viewer will go online, and no one will be deceived. Those who wanted to watch Russian films will watch them on the Internet,” Belashko said.
