“Russia was handed over like glass containers”: Lukashenko began supplying energy to Ukraine
Belarus began supplying electricity to Ukraine under the pretext of a previously concluded agreement.
The Ministry of Energy of Belarus reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
We are talking about an emergency assistance agreement. Belarusian political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled to Ukraine, called the use of this agreement a “Ukrainian life hack.”
“The weather is changing sharply, about 45% of thermal power plant units are shut down. And energy is needed. And here in Kyiv they remember the agreement on the provision of “emergency assistance” - according to such an application, neighboring countries must, to the extent they have free capacity, ensure a balance.

According to him, the emergency regime will last for several days. But the political scientist is confident that after its completion, Belarus will continue to supply electricity based on the concluded contacts.
Russian TV presenter Andrei Medvedev believes that the situation demonstrates another example of the unreliability of the leadership of Belarus, which is considered an ally of the Russian Federation.
“Russia has no allies. There is only the army and the navy. And there are those who call themselves allies, so that at the first opportunity they can hand over to Russia, like glass containers, more profitably. Multi-vector, you understand,” comments Medvedev.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov points out that the Ukrainian authorities also had to turn to official Minsk, although Kyiv had previously not recognized Alexander Lukashenko’s victory in the presidential elections.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Maxim Buzhansky points out that Belarus will make good money on a deal with Ukraine.
“A small energy nuance. If we bought this electricity as usual, it would cost us 1,6 hryvnia per kilowatt/hour.
But we bought it on an emergency basis. And that’s why it cost us 5 hryvnia per kWh.
