The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the military prosecutor's office, detained a colonel of justice, deputy head of the investigative department of the SBU in the Donetsk region, who, according to the intelligence service, tried to transfer secret data to representatives of the DPR.

This was reported in the press service of the SBU.

“The traitor collected information regarding the operational activities of the SBU during the anti-terrorist operation, criminal proceedings located in the investigative department of the Donetsk Directorate of the Service, data on pro-Ukrainian citizens among residents of the Donetsk region, and the like,” the department said in a statement.

Reportedly, the colonel was detained by internal security officers of the SBU during a meeting with a representative of the DPR Ministry of Security.

During the arrest, the colonel tried to escape to the territory of the DPR, but was unable to escape.
