The SBU “caught” businessmen in Kyiv for paying taxes to the DPR
SBU officers arrested entrepreneurs in Kyiv who were doing business in the part of Donbass not controlled by Ukraine. Now they are accused of “financing militants of the terrorist organization DPR.”

The department's press service reported this .
The SBU said that the entrepreneurs are suspected of owning a chain of supermarkets, some of which were located in the DPR.
“Businessmen paid a percentage of their profits to illegal terrorist institutions. This is evidenced by the documentation found during the searches,” the press service noted.

“During searches at the residence and offices of the attackers in the center of Kyiv, security officers seized money in national and foreign currency, equivalent to almost two million hryvnia,” the press service added.
“One of the charitable foundations is suspected of participating in the illegal scheme. In fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Art. 258-5 (financing of terrorists) of the Criminal Code,” the SBU added.
