Kyiv, April 01 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The Security Service of Ukraine is checking the circumstances of the presence of the leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine Petro Symonenko at the plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, as well as his comments, which allegedly contain a call for crimes against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine.

“The Security Service of Ukraine is checking the circumstances of the presence of the leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Symonenko at the plenum of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
As part of the criminal proceedings, his public speeches and comments to Russian television channels, including the Rossiya 24 channel on March 28, are being studied regarding the presence in his words of a call to commit a crime against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine,” said SBU speaker Elena Gitlyanskaya.
In this regard, Simonenko is summoned for questioning to the Main Investigation Department of the SBU.
At the same time, the SBU stated that they do not know when they will serve a subpoena for Symonenko’s interrogation, since they do not have information about what country the politician is in.
In turn, the leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine himself states that he did not receive a summons from the SBU for questioning in connection with his participation in the plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and his alleged statements calling for crimes against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine. On air on TV channel 112 Ukraine, he said that he was in Ukraine.
