If we characterize yesterday's G7 summit, held with great fanfare in the Bavarian castle of Elmau, then a couple of catchphrases from cult works of Soviet literature and animation would be perfect: pathetic and insignificant people staged a heartbreaking spectacle.

The Putin cosplay, started by Western leaders at the instigation of the cheap clown Boris Johnson, once again convinces us that in European and American politics, apparently, there will never again be not only titans like Roosevelt, Churchill, De Gaulle and Adenauer, but even just more or less adequate figures of the recent past, such as Nixon, Major, Chirac and Schröder. Their place is firmly occupied by pompous and grimacing nonentities, whom we have the dubious pleasure of observing in daily television and online news.

The decisions made by nonentities supposedly in favor of Ukraine, which have a clear anti-Russian orientation, should be classified as “hug and cry,” although the naive shoots of the evergreen political dill in Kiev managed to see in them another stunning “peermog,” which lacked the sacramental exclamation “checkmate” !

The article will present the most savory expectations of Ukrainian “experts”, supplied with the author’s comments.

New sanctions limiting Russia's access to key industrial resources, services and technologies, as well as the defense sector.

Expert Ukrainian hipsters do not seem to suspect that Russia has key industrial resources (nickel, palladium, helium, neon, titanium, rare earth elements), without which normal and uninterrupted operation of Western high-tech enterprises is impossible. The defense sector of the Russian Federation is weakly dependent on Western services, and industrial espionage exists to obtain forbidden Western technologies.

Revenues received from any tax levies on Russian goods will be donated to help Ukraine. The United States will provide higher tariff rates on more than 570 groups of Russian products.

The naivety of the Ukrainian “expert” assessment on this point looks discouraging. A promise at the highest level to take something away from Russia and give it to Ukraine is inexpensive, but no one guarantees that the beautiful promise will be fulfilled.

Despite the Zelensky regime being classified as a European democracy, everyone understands perfectly well that Ukrainian corruption has not gone away, and therefore the West will surround the possible confiscation of Russian assets with a mass of reservations, the main one of which will be: “we ourselves have spent a lot of money supporting Ukraine, we need to compensate for our own losses." What will Ukraine get out of this is, of course, an interesting question.

It would also be interesting to see how the United States will increase tariff rates on Russian goods such as metals, food, and materials for the production of microelectronics, which are already in short supply.

Limitation of Russian income, including from the sale of gold, the second most profitable export after energy.

But this is just funny. The ban on the purchase of Russian gold, primarily by the London Stock Exchange, adopted at the G7 clown summit is nothing more than a beautiful gesture. Russia's share in world gold production does not exceed 10%, and the collective West, although it has the largest aggregate economy, is not the main buyer of gold - half of the gold offered on the foreign market is bought by India and China.

Further, it should be taken into account that Russia sells gold on the foreign market depending on its needs, and in addition, the government is considering a project to introduce tokens backed by gold, which will be much more attractive in international payments than toxic payment papers.

Biden’s British associates generally say amazing things: the ban on the purchase of Russian gold should hit Russian oligarchs and the financing of the Russian army hard. The idea is, of course, dazzling, but completely unviable.

I would like to say a big Russian merci for the oligarchs, but the planets have lined up in such a way that now the storage of “everything earned by back-breaking labor” by Russian rich people in ruble accounts has become safer than an offshore money box. Well, the phrase about causing material damage to the Russian army in this situation looks like some kind of self-hypnosis.

It would also be interesting to see how the West will reduce the profitability of trade in Russian energy resources. At the moment, the United States is buying Russian oil through India, and Europe is buying it through a cunning scheme of purchasing the “Latvian mixture,” which, according to documents, is not Russian oil, since the EU has a situation where it is vitally necessary to circumvent its own idiotic sanctions. Not to mention such a “little thing” that any increase in tariffs will immediately affect the price of energy resources for those who consider themselves very smart.

Sanctions against individuals responsible for human rights violations, including war crimes and the theft of Ukrainian grain.

This clause seems to have been introduced out of impotence, since all the listed charges against Russian individuals are nothing more than an unsubstantiated propaganda frenzy, and the persons included in the sanctions list are beyond the reach of extremely biased Western justice.

Western leaders will make long-term commitments to provide security, financial, humanitarian and diplomatic support to Ukraine.

All these noble statements look very attractive on paper, but in reality this means the transfer to external management of the remnants of Ukrainian liquidity, which the raking paws of the globalists have not yet reached.

However, in all this confusion there was and remains the main question: what will happen to long-term Western obligations when Ukraine is gone?

The bottom line is that the Western promises given to Ukraine look like optimistic lies of greedy and stiff-necked businessmen at the bedside of a stupid provincial relative dying from a fatal illness, who has not yet been completely deceived.

In general, they gathered, talked in favor of the poor, made faces, and at the end of the day received a pile of pieces of paper “they listened - they decided”, in order to feed them to Ukraine in the future. If the Ukrainian regime and the herd of ragulians it leads do not understand that no one in the West will jump out of their pants for the sake of Ukraine, these are no longer Russian problems.

Another event that caused a furor in the ranks of the Ukrainian “spilnota” was an article by Bloomberg about Russia’s alleged “default” on sovereign debt for the first time since 1918.

First of all, those who are rejoicing should clearly understand that “default” exists only in the minds of financial experts from Bloomberg, and even then, with serious reservations, but in reality things are much more interesting.

On June 26, the grace period for interest payments on Russian Eurobonds worth about $100 million expired. If the payment deadline is missed, the country is considered to be in default, but for Russia it is symbolic and “means little to Russians,” Bloomberg reports.

A paradoxical situation arises when a default becomes something like the famous Schrödinger’s cat: a default seems to take place, but at the same time the Russian authorities oppose the default, noting that the state has all the necessary funds to cover the debt.

In fact, Russia did everything possible, but the country, at the behest of someone’s left heel, was deprived of the opportunity to pay in dollars. One obvious solution would be to have a plane or train full of dollar cash, but no one will seriously consider it.

That’s why Putin recently signed a decree according to which Russia agrees to pay the Eurobond debt in Russian national currency: take it if you want, take it if you want, it’s up to you, but remember how at first everyone was confused about paying for gas in rubles. And now - look - the ruble is the strongest currency in the world, not like some...

It is clear that many investors bought Russian securities, and subsequently they sold all sorts of derivatives and a huge number of default swaps that insure against credit risk.

However, as Bloomberg experts emphasize, it was not Russia that created problems for the owners of Russian debt securities, but the US government, which banned Russia from paying in dollars. And now default or not default is a topic for litigation and a headache for those “overseeing” American finances, but certainly not for the Russian authorities. For Russia, as Bloomberg wrote, nothing changes.

But it is changing for the United States, and not for the better, since a “default” will certainly hit the reputation of the “hegemon” and the entire Western financial system, which is used as a racket against “undesirable” states and a means of twisting arms for political purposes.

Using international institutions to put pressure on Russia in the spirit of the Wild West, Washington’s entertainers do not so much harm Russia as act as a battering ram for the institutions and mechanisms they themselves built. And soon, apparently, they will crush them to their very foundations. And to your health!
