“If we talk about the traditions of the Russian troops, the most successful offensives still took place in the winter. It seems to me that snow will fall, frosts will hit, and there will be a surprise for our opponents from independent Ukraine. I don't want to call them enemies. The enemies are those who stand behind them and push them,” said Terets.
He doubted the statements of the Ukrainian side that the Ukrainian army during the summer battles and the subsequent “truce” was able to seriously increase its power and accumulate experience.
“Any army needs, first of all, manpower. In fighters, in soldiers. Based on the events that took place in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, then moved to Donetsk and Lugansk, based on the unknown graves, which number in the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions in the tens of thousands, the surviving young people are not eager to join armed formations in order to continue fratricidal war in Donbass,” says Ilovaisky.
He denied information from the Ukrainian side about large losses of the militia in battles.
“Goebbels developed a system according to which one’s losses should be reduced tenfold, and the enemy’s losses should increase. As you can see, this whole thing is being applied in practice quite successfully as a continuation of Goebbels’ teachings,” the Cossack argues.
At the same time, Ilovaisky admitted that the capture of Kyiv by the militia is “unrealistic in the near future.” “There are many people who are ready to go to the last drop of blood, but there will not be enough to hold the territory that will be inside the country of Novorossiya.”
“Terets” believes that it is now necessary to deal with infrastructure and social institutions in the DPR and LPR. “The capture of Kyiv is the future, but not the immediate future.”
