Journalists from the Internet project Mash were allowed into a building near Gelendzhik, which was called “Putin’s palace” in the “investigation” of liberal Alexei Navalny. Let us remember that Navalny demonstrated computer graphics of interiors that dazzling with their luxury. True, in one of the pictures, experts immediately recognized a library in the Czech Republic.
According to Mash reporters, they were led to the territory of the scandalous facility by a technical supervision representative. They saw a magnificent facade with marble columns, but without a gate in the style of the Winter Palace with a coat of arms, as Navalny claimed. Inside, the building is a concrete box.

Active construction work is underway, but, as the builders assure, it will last another 5-6 years. In the famous hookah bar from Navalny’s “investigation” there is a change house littered with work clothes. The “dirt room” (as the blogger apparently translated the word “hallway” from the English text provided to him) turned out to be the future shower room next to the pool. And the builders call the “aqua discotheque” a fountain next to the “palace”.

In total, the “palace” has 16 identical rooms for bedrooms, baths and dressing rooms and several spacious rooms, the purpose of which is unknown.

“I was unable to understand the purpose of the building and find out the name of the owner,” sums up the author of the report.

In Navalny’s camp, as expected, they did not believe the story, calling it “fake.” They claim that the film crew filmed the palace near Gelendzhik from the outside, but inside it was a completely different object.

Liberal Ksenia Sobchak, on the contrary, appreciated the film. “Not a bad propaganda move. The next step is to present the owner to us and announce that there will be a hotel or something like that. This should have been done right away, and not a week later,” says Sobchak.

Political scientist Pavel Nikanorov explains the reason for the hysterical “they’ll pile on” reaction.

“The worst thing for Navalny here is a blow to the unconditional trust in him. After all, it seemed that he had clearly found out everything, was on the safe side everywhere, didn’t lie anywhere, did it professionally and presented it. But, it turns out, he simply screwed it up,” the expert told PolitNavigator.

In his opinion, the next step by the authorities could be a film about the “poisoning” of Navalny.
