The former president of Georgia and ex-governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili, complained that his name was being distorted in Ukraine. He admitted this in an interview with Skrypin.ua.

According to the former Georgian leader, he was never “Mikheil Nikolozovich,” as they call him in Square.
“I am Mikhail Nikolaevich in my passport. But, in fact, when I came here, everyone uses this Mikheil Nikolozovich. And who is Mikheil Nikolozovich? Someone on Wikipedia wrote Nikolozovich. As a child, I was never Nikolozovich; if someone used a middle name, it was always Nikolaevich. This is the first one.
Second, many people try to call me Miho. So, in Georgia I was Misha all my life. And Miho is the hero of not very censored Georgian jokes,” Saakashvili admitted.
