Since the beginning of the year, 160 people have been injured or killed in Donbass
More than 160 people have become victims of the conflict in Donbass since the beginning of 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the first deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine, Alexander Hug.

“In the month of July alone, we confirmed information about seven victims. This year, the total number of victims is more than 160 people - both wounded and dead,” Interfax-Ukraine quotes him as saying.
Hug noted that the OSCE SMM records the same number of ceasefire violations as it did before the “bread truce,” which came into force on July 1.
“After confirming commitment to the ceasefire from July 1, the mission (OSCE - Ed.) recorded a decrease in ceasefire violations. But then, over the entire month, the mission recorded 15 thousand ceasefire violations. And we are again now recording the level of violations that existed before July 1,” he said.
According to Alexander Hug, the situation in Donbass is “unstable and unpredictable.”
“The reasons why the violence still does not stop are the close balance of positions and the presence of heavy weapons, which should have been withdrawn a long time ago,” he noted.
