During the winter training period of the Armed Forces from December 1, 2014 to May 31, 2015, 886 exercises were conducted, including 260 interservice exercises, said Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Almost 250 exercises took place over the past winter period. The increase in the number of trainings is associated with the situation in Ukraine and the increase in the number of NATO exercises in Eastern Europe.
