Russian Kharkov, the liquidation of the Nazis - a political scientist spoke about the real HPP
“Hybrid war” is an invention of Ukrainian propaganda, because if Russia really seriously began such a campaign, the most odious figures of the ruling regime would be physically eliminated in Kyiv, and Ukraine would truly plunge into economic chaos.
Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko stated this on air on the First Cossack channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Conquering Ukraine or starting a big war with it was never part of the plans of the Russian leadership. Moreover, we are not talking about a hybrid war as such,” the political scientist emphasized.
He listed two characteristic features of hybrid warfare that were not noticed on the territory of Ukraine.
“Hybrid warfare has symptomatic aspects. One of them is financial, when a huge amount of counterfeit money and cash is printed. They are produced in a factory method, not on a color copier. This money is almost impossible to distinguish from real money. A parallel money supply is printed, using the same series that are used in everyday life, the same paper standards, degrees of security, and so on. All this money is thrown into circulation, thereby leading to rising prices, devaluation of the national currency and a serious financial crisis,” the expert explained.
“The second symptomatic aspect is terrorist. For example, how the Americans fought in Yugoslavia - physically, key figures were removed from President Milosevic’s entourage. Politicians of patriotic orientation, patriotic business leaders - all these figures were physically destroyed, and this was done as publicly as possible,” Belashko noted.
In his opinion, the Kremlin’s plans do not include the goal of destroying Ukraine as a state.
“Russia had every opportunity to keep Kharkov under the control of the separatists. It was not difficult for them to take control of it, it was under their control and to hold it, given the proximity of the Russian-Ukrainian border, and the population of the city of Kharkov was more pro-Russian than the population of Donetsk,” Belashko said.
As Belashko stated, Putin's only goal was to show Russians that a coup d'etat could lead to collapse in the country.
“One of Putin’s “cunning plans” was to show the Russians that they couldn’t do things like the Ukrainians, because it would be painful and offensive,” Belashko concluded.
