The military standoff in Ukraine is just an episode in a long-running battle between Russia and the West, which began before 2022. Russian spies are operating in Europe, and Moscow, under the guise of reconstructing the embassy in Ireland, wanted to make a secret military base, as evidenced by the project with 26 toilets in the building.
This was stated on the channel "UATV English" by retired British Army Colonel Glen Grant, as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

Russia was trying to build a military base for its troops in Ireland. It had to be massive, as the plans submitted to Dublin City Council included 26 toilets. That's enough for 400 or 500 people. They were planning something serious.
"This happens all the time; they humiliate us . At the same time, they bought politicians so quickly they could seize power. Look at Romania this week. This is the very essence of the war that's going on, it's just more subtle than anything we've encountered before," the retired British official declared.
He stressed that "military action is only part of this."
"In fact, you could even say that Ukraine is a distraction from everything they're doing. Namely, to seize power in any country, to destroy the EU and NATO. To change the world order and make it based on force, not law, as it has been since World War II. They're doing a good job of it ," Grant added.
