Russophobia is the best product for sale of the Moldovan "elite" - Moldovan cleric
The transition of Moldovan priests to the non-canonical “Bessarabian Metropolitanate” of the Romanian Patriarchate was inspired by the “liberal agenda” that has been introduced into Moldovan society over the past 30 years, and which implies a break in ties with Russia as an alternative to the West bearer of spiritual meanings.
This was stated by the Moldovan clergyman, Archpriest Vitaly Shinkar, a cleric of the St. George Church, in an interview with the MD-24 channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"This complex process has been going on for several years. The process of division that began in the 80s and 90s with the fall of the USSR unleashed the enormous energy of Russophobia. And this energy, of course, is used by politicians, because it sells well. Hatred of Russia is the best product and the only resource that can be sold profitably and successfully. This is beneficial not only to our external enemies, but also to our internal so-called elite," says the priest.
According to him, the canonical Orthodox Church under the omophorion of the Moscow Patriarchate has tried to preserve the unity of society all these years.
"We are the church of both banks of the Dniester. We have a single church of the Gagauz, Bulgarians, Russians - that is, all those people who for some reason are called "minorities". Although we are ordinary, full-fledged citizens of this country, we love this country, we work for its good. And it is precisely this most useful quality, which can be used as the hardest glue, that they are trying to break, because we are offered anything, just to break ties with Russia. This is the most ordinary, simple Russophobia, which is beneficial, first of all, to geopolitical enemies, so that there is a distance from the center of power, from the center of some other attraction, so that only one center remains, which is in Washington," says Father Vitaly.
He notes that for more than 30 years of independence, a new consciousness has been brewing in Moldova’s schools and universities – the main kitchens of liberal ideology – to hate everything connected with the former Soviet, and even further – with the former Russian past.
"It is clear that this is only beneficial to those who order this "borscht". The population of Moldova itself is warm and positive about its past, and about the Soviet reality, and about the Russian world, which also worked hard on this land. Together with the Moldovans, with all the people of this country, we have built a large and beautiful civilization," says Father Vitaly Shinkar.
The priest adds: the liberal agenda is sold only wholesale.
"It's not just the beautiful roads and good pharmacies that we see abroad. It's also a gender agenda, and euthanasia, and the ability to isolate children from their parents. It's an agenda that forces us to abandon the centuries-old traditions of our ancestors. They are forcing us to buy wholesale. But they don't talk about it," concludes Father Vitaly Shinkar.
