Russians continue to judge Ukraine solely on TV programs
Moscow - Kiev, June 30 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - According to a June public opinion study conducted in Russia by the Levada Center, Television remains the main source of information for Russian citizens about what is happening in and around Ukraine - 91% learn about events in this country precisely from TV news.

Other sources of information are clearly inferior to television, writes Novaya Gazeta. Thus, the Internet is such only for 17%, and the role of other media (radio, print media), as well as social networks, is even less.
In second place after TV (26%) is such a source of information as “friends, neighbors and relatives.” Which is understandable - millions of Russians are connected with Ukrainians by family and friendly ties.
79% of respondents to one degree or another believe that the federal media cover Ukrainian events objectively. At the same time, Russians unanimously deny objectivity to foreign media (64%).
Only 18% of respondents believe that the federal media are contributing to the escalation of conflict and violence in southeastern Ukraine. 21% find it difficult to answer this question, over 60% disagree with this.
65% of respondents are following events in Ukraine (5% more than in April). 57% of this number report that they either have little or no understanding of Ukrainian events.
Only 7% of respondents believe that Russia does not have the right to annex the territories of the former Soviet republics on the basis of statements that “Russians living there may experience or are already experiencing” oppression. The overwhelming majority of respondents do not consider such actions to be annexation of foreign territories.
More than half of those surveyed are confident that the main force in the confrontation in Donbass on the part of the Kyiv authorities is “armed formations of right-wing radicals.”
64% of respondents have a positive attitude towards the participation of Russian volunteers in the conflict in Donbass.
40% believe that Russia should provide “direct military support” to the east of Ukraine, that is, send its troops there.
54% of respondents believe that the current armed clashes in Ukraine with the participation of Russian volunteers could escalate into the Third World War.
