Deputy Minister of Defense Alexey Krivoruchko and Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Nikolai Evmenov reported on the readiness of the missile carriers to raise the naval flag via video link from Severodvinsk.

“I would like to thank the staff of Sevmashpredpriyatiya, our leading enterprise for the production of nuclear submarines, and say my kindest words to everyone who participated in the design and creation of these modern ships. You did an excellent job with your tasks.

New submarines have formidable striking power. “Prince Oleg” is equipped with “Bulava” ballistic missiles, and the multi-purpose submarine cruise “Novosibirsk” is equipped with “Caliber” and “Oniks” cruise missiles and is capable of not only effectively combating sea targets, but also delivering high-precision strikes against ground targets.

In the near future, "Prince Oleg" and "Novosibirsk" will join the Pacific Fleet and will significantly increase its combat potential, will ensure the security of Russia, and reliable protection of our national interests in the World Ocean.

The new submarines became the first production ships of their designs, and we will continue to create these ships. “As part of the current state weapons program, it is planned to build and transfer to the fleet five more Borey-A submarines and six Yasen-M submarines, and all of them will also be built at Sevmash,” Putin said.
