This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Likhachev in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“In Ukraine, the trade mission operates with a reduced staff. A lot of analytical work is going on. There are contacts, but only at the expert level,” he said, noting that after Ukraine was excluded from the CIS free trade zone, trade turnover continues to decline.

“As we expected, trade turnover continues to decline. Last year it fell to 15 billion dollars, and this year, most likely, we will not overcome 10 billion,” he said.

Let us recall that in Ukraine there has been a serious reduction in foreign trade turnover in two years, and after the loss of most of the Russian markets, the EU takes first place as a trading partner in the new structure of the foreign trade balance.
