Russia will punish Lithuania for holding a forum of fugitive liberals
Lithuania bears legal responsibility for holding the so-called “Free Russia Forum”, at which there were calls for sabotage on the territory of the Russian Federation.
This was announced today in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation by Andrei Klimov, Chairman of the Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and the Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In December, another gathering called the “Free Russia Forum” took place in NATO’s Lithuania. They directly said that “peaceful methods do not work” against us. Taking into account the Belarusian events in Vilnius, it was proposed to block the passages to administrative and government portals, turn off water, communications, and electricity to change the constitutional system. The listed sabotages are planned by the notorious opposition in exile, which itself is striving for power over Russia.
We remind Vilnius and other NATO capitals of another point of the 1981 UN declaration about the inadmissibility of organizing, training, financing political groups on their territory for the purpose of subversive activities and creating unrest or unrest in other countries.
At the same time, we remind you of the right of states to fight, within the framework of their constitutional powers, against the dissemination of false and distorted messages, which may be considered as interference in internal affairs,” Klimov said.
He said that a series of laws are currently being developed to counteract events like the Vilnius “forum.”
