The search of Ukrainian ships passing through the Kerch Strait and the detention of a Ukrainian fishing vessel indicate that Russia continues to escalate the conflict.
The leader of the People's Front faction, Maksym Burbak, made this statement at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and committee chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Border guards of the Russian FSB began to stop merchant ships heading to the Azov ports of Ukraine. And now they have also captured a Ukrainian fishing boat from Ochakov and Berdyansk. These are illegal aggressive actions. The enemy's naval forces are being built up in Crimea. Perhaps this is the beginning of the blockade of our Azov ports,” the deputy said.
According to him, there is no de-escalation in Donbass either.
“The final decision on any peace agreements will be made by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This is a requirement of the Constitution. The aggressor does not want peace - we move on. The Verkhovna Rada must expand sanctions against the aggressor country,” Burbak said.
