Kherson, July 26 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration, “Batkivshchinist” Yuriy Odarchenko believes that the Russian army can send its troops into the Kherson region, explaining this by the problems of the residents of Crimea, who are tormented by thirst.

“The Kherson region contains serious strategic objects that are of interest to the Russian Federation. I remind you that today, as a result of the seizure of the North Crimean Canal, Crimea does not receive fresh water. Today, enterprises in Crimea are on the verge of stopping: a titanium plant and a plant that produces soda. And the reservoirs located in Kerch and Feodosia actually have no water. I am convinced that Russia is using these factors as a possible reason to invade mainland Ukraine,” he said.

“If we talk about the Kherson region, then - to reach the Dnieper, citing the fact that it was not aggression, it was not a seizure, it was not occupation, but this is a fight for citizens suffering from thirst on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula,” he said He.

As Navigator reported, on May 13, the North Crimean Canal stopped supplying water to Crimea.
