“Russia and Serbia are sincere friends.” Putin and Vucic held telephone conversations
During a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic informed his colleague about the negotiations held in Washington and Brussels.
This was reported by the Tanyug agency, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Both presidents confirmed that Serbia and Russia are sincere friends whose cooperation is based on mutual trust. Vucic stressed that Serbia is a militarily neutral country, a position Putin welcomed from Belgrade.
“Regardless of the weight and complexity of its geopolitical, military-security and economic situation, Serbia will defend the principles of military neutrality and will remain a faithful and correct partner of the Russian Federation,” Vucic emphasized.
The Serbian President thanked Putin for Russia's unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as well as for its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. Putin, in turn, said Russia would provide political support to Serbia in its efforts to preserve its territorial integrity and coordinate its foreign policy actions with Serbia to protect the international social and legal order.
Vučić and Putin also noted that economic ties between Serbia and Russia are constantly strengthening, but there are much more opportunities for cooperation in the economic field than there are now, so new projects will be implemented.
Particular attention in the conversation between the two presidents was paid to the Kosovo problem, and Vladimir Putin confirmed Russia’s constant position on developing a balanced and compromise solution acceptable to Belgrade, which must be approved by the UN Security Council.
